Manchester's indie-rock veterans Puressence haven't released an album for three years but they have maintained a massive cult following nevertheless. See why when they come to Preston on November 18.
The band's uplifting, soul-bearing panoramic rock, coupled with vocalist Jimmy Mudriczki's soaring voice, first came to prominence in 1992 with a record label bidding war won by Island.
Since then they've released three albums, with a fourth due out shortly, and have clocked up three top 40 hits including All I Want and This Feeling.
Although quiet on the British music scene recently, they have enjoyed commercial success across Europe, especially in Greece where their most recent album went into the charts at number three.
Puressence play at 53 degrees in Preston on Friday, November 18. Tickets are £12 - to book, call 01772 893000.
