STARS from Emmerdale and Shameless will be switching on this year's Christmas lights in Rawtenstall.
Twin brothers Luke Tittensor who plays Daz in Emmerdale and Elliott Tittensor who plays Carl in Channel 4's Shameless will be the stars at this year's event on Thursday, November 24, from 4pm.
And organisers are promising this year's dazzling Christmas lights will be whiter and brighter than ever after the shops along the cobbled Bank Street adopted a white lights theme.
The Mayor of Rossendale, Councillor Jeff Cheetham, winners from a primary schools Christmas Lights Arts competition and Father Christmas will also assist with the switch on. Music will be provided by All Saints school samba band.
Councillor June Forshaw, who has helped organise the event, said: "We are pleased to welcome the TV personalities to Rawtenstall this year, but we also need the public to help us celebrate this special time.
"There will also be a switch on in Crawshawbooth and Haslingden and together this year's Christmas Lights will help to bring Rossendale alive."
The Christmas lights will also be switched on in Crawshawbooth on Wednesday, November 23 and Haslingden on Friday, November 25, both commencing at 3.45pm.
