FUND-RAISING teenagers Rachel Huddleston and Laura Barrow mean business - but they need some beans!
The 18-year-old students, from Blackburn, are planning to sit in a bath full of them to raise money for Children in Need.
Their only problem is they are currently struggling to get hold of the 300 to 400 tins they need and have only one day left to find them.
After contacting local supermarkets they discovered they could not get the beans in time for the sponsored event tomorrow night, so they are now hoping local businesses and residents will help them.
They have so far been offered 48 tins at nine pence each from Asda but they need lots more.
The pair, who work behind the bar at The Dog Inn, Revidge Road, in the evenings and at weekends are also hoping to pull in the crowds by wearing bikinis for the challenge.
Rachel, of Queen's Way, said: "It should be fun if we get the beans.
"We thought that if we wore bikinis more people would probably come along, although some people have said they didn't like the idea so we will probably decide on the night.
"We are hoping that people will donate some tins of beans even if they come in bit by bit."
Her friend Laura, of Ottershaw Gardens, said: "I've always wanted to do something like this and help charity."
The girls both study health and social care and sociology at St Wilfrid's Sixth Form.
Some of the male staff at the pub are planning to raise cash by having their legs waxed during the evening.
People who can donate beans are asked to ring 01254 619142.
