I WOULD like to add to the letter from Mrs D Eddleston (November 7) regarding parking on Church Street, Blackburn.
On November 7 I parked on Church Street. On return I had received a parking ticket.
I checked to see if the disabled badge card that I displayed was in order and correct, all was in order.
I checked the disabled parking signs and again I still could not see a reason for receiving this ticket. I was so annoyed I waited for the traffic warden.
I confronted him and he pointed out I was in a loading bay. I asked him to show me any sign or markings to justify his claim as I could not see any.
His reply was that the council did not think it appropriate to paint lines on cobbles and that I should complain to the council regarding the ticket I had received. I went straight to the council offices and filled out a grievance form and I am awaiting a reply.
The signs are very misleading.
S HOWARD (Mr), Higher Gate Road, Huncoat.
