TWO burglars got away with hundreds of pounds after a raid on a greengrocer's.
The distraction burglary took place at a shop in Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, on Saturday evening.
Sgt Ian Corbett said a couple entered the shop at around 5pm.
The woman asked to use the toilet and went into the back storage area.
The shop assistant followed her and while she was gone, the man broke into the till and stole the takings.
Sgt Corbett said: "We do not know how much was in the till but it is a substantial amount."
The woman was white, in her early 20s and wearing a cream coat.
She had long, dirty-blonde hair and a dirty complexion.
The man was said to be in his mid-20s, with a thin face, dirty complexion and wearing dark clothes.
Great Harwood police are appealing for witnesses.
