ERIC SKORA hopes his month on loan at League One side Walsall will give him the chance to impress his boss back at Deepdale.
With fellow departee Dickson Etuhu was speaking as though he'd left Deepdale for good when he went on loan to Norwich last week, Skora is determined to fight his way back into North End's first team.
Skora, out for the best part of a year following a knee ligament injury, got off to a flying start at Walsall at the weekend, scoring the club's second goal in a 2-0 win over Gillingham.
And Skora said: "This is exactly what I'm hoping for, a month's loan to play some games.
"It is seven games, I think, and they will help me get fit again and hopefully I can come back stronger and back to the level of fitness I had before I got injured.
"I hope it will benefit both me and Preston.
"Preston is a difficult team to get into at the moment because the lads are doing really well so unless there are injuries then there is no chance of players getting back in.
"A month here will give me the chance to prove to the boss I am good enough to get back into the first team.
"In the meantime, I hope to do really well for Walsall."
