AN inquest has been opened into the death of a young woman who plunged 25ft from an upstairs window.
Amanda Alexander, 26, of Booth Crescent, Waterfoot, suffered head injuries after the fall in the early hours of November 7.
She fell from the bathroom window on the second floor of a three-storey property in Burnley Road East.
The inquest at Burnley Magistrates' Court was told she was taken to Burnley General Hospital then transferred to Blackburn Royal Infirmary, where she died.
A post mortem examination gave cause of death as head injuries.
She was identified by partner Michael Taylor.
The inquest was adjourned for toxicology tests.
Police have ruled out foul play after three people were arrested then released after questioning.
