TICKETS have gone on sale for a star-studded concert to raise cash for an East Lancashire charity.
The 'Stars for a Night' talent contest has been organised by the Clarets Trust, a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation run by Burnley supporters.
Visitors will be able to enjoy tributes to a number of stars including Cher, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears and Art Garfunkel at the evening staged in conjunction with Accrington Clarets.
The contest takes place at the Stanley Club, Accrington, on December 1, starting at 8pm.
A share of the proceeds will be donated to Reedley-based Pendleside Hospice.
Contestants need to drum up support from friends and family, and each of their sponsors will receive a ticket for the show to cheer on their favourite, from their own fans' table at the cabaret-style event.
There will be a panel of celebrity judges, including ex-Claret Willie Irvine, as well as a raffle and free supper.
The winner will receive a framed 'platinum' disc.
Artist Rebecca Stone, who played Andrea Corr in a tribute to the band The Corrs, will also perform.
Businesses are also being asked to promote or enter the event.
Anyone wanting to help should email events@claretstrust.co.uk or phone organisers, David Newton on 07787 307861, or Meg Fawcett on 07944 625912.
