SIMON Grayson's debut as temporary boss of Blackpool ended in a thrilling win over Scunthorpe United yesterday.
The former Blackburn Rovers defender, who is in charge while the club search for a successor to Colin Hendry, led his side to a 5-2 victory.
Billy Sharp's left-foot strike put the visitors ahead but John Murphy levelled and then Scunthorpe's Andy Crosby saw red for bringing down Tommy Wright.
Scunthorpe took a surprise lead when Sharp converted a penalty for Robert Edwards' foul on Andy Butler.
But the hosts led at half-time through Ian Morris'header and a crisp Tommy Wright strike before late goals from Murphy and Morris sealed it.
