A STRAY albino rabbit who prevented an arm-wrestler from training for next month's world championships in Tokyo has been reunited with its owner.
Former British, European and World arm-wrestling champion Neil Pickup took pity on the pet after he spotted it shivering outside his gym in Oakmere Close. He kept it warm on the top floor where he and fellow arm-wrestlers train.
But he asked the Evening Telegraph for help to find his owner -- after they had to move out because the animal was so terrified when they walked in the room.
Neil has been battling back to full fitness after an operation in August to replace three ligaments in his right elbow -- part of the arm that has brought him so much success over the years.
He said: "He basically took over the training room. He was killing my chances of winning the world championships."
But the bunny, who is called Bobby and had not strayed far, is now back at home with owner Bailey Hawcroft-Hurst.
