MOTORBIKE legend Carl Fogarty has launched an amazing broadside at fellow Lancashire racer Neil Hodgson.

Four-time World Superbike champion Foggy, known as the Blackburn bullet, slammed Burnley rider Hodgson labelling his season in American Superbikes as a 'disaster' after he finished sixth.

He also accused Hodgson of talking up the US competition to hide his own short-comings.

He said: "I can't believe he's done so badly in the US. He was beaten by his team-mate (Eric Bostrom) and only finished sixth overall.

"If he can't go there and win a domestic title he's had nothing short of a disastrous year.

"He won the World Superbike title when nobody was in it and then he went onto MotoGP and had a disaster.

"No wonder he's not coming back next year - they wouldn't let him back in the country.

"He's got to stay out there another year to put it right after how badly he's done."

He added: "He's had to rave about how good the other guys in the championship are because he's just had his backside kicked.

"It's his way of justifying how badly he's done."
