Veteran defender Simon Grayson will take temporary charge of the Blackpool team for this weekend's televised clash with Scunthorpe, the Seasiders have confirmed.
Manager Colin Hendry, whose side is fourth from bottom of League One, is due to have further discussions about his future at the club early next week.
A statement on the club's official website said that "no further comment will be made by anyone connected to Blackpool Football Club on this subject."
