BBC newsreader Fiona Bruce has given her support to Lancaster's innovative domestic abuse support centre.
Ms Bruce reckons that the 'Sal's Place' centre on St Leonardgate is a wonderful idea that should be replicated up and down the country.' "I was delighted to see that efforts were being made to bring all the services together that could help people who suffer from domestic abuse," she says.
"Sal's Place is a terrific idea, one that should be copied in all areas of the country."
Ms Bruce was speaking at the National Criminal Justice Awards in London. The centre was one of three finalists in the Best Use of Partnerships category.
