A RECONSTRUCTION has been carried out of the hit-and-run crash that killed tragic Burnley toddler Levi Bleasdale.
Officers recreated the horrific smash on Ormerod Road, close to Burnley College, on Sunday for an investigation report into the case.
A 26-year-old Burnley man, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after an accident, has had his bail extended while the findings are compiled.
He is due to return to the police station in December to answer bail.
A decision is then expected to be taken on whether the man, who has not been named, should be charged.
Inspector Dave Croll said: "A full reconstruction of the crash was carried out on Sunday for an investigation report currently being compiled.
"The man's bail will be extended to allow full details of the reconstruction to be put together."
Three-year-old Levi died after the accident on September 9 when she was struck by a black VW Golf.
Her mum Kirsty Ryan, 21, was pushing her five-month-old daughter Brogan in a pram in front of the toddler with the pair narrowly escaping injury themselves.
Hundreds of people packed Padiham's St Leonard's Church in September for the toddler's emotional funeral when a white horse drawn carriage took the "little angel" to her resting place.
Her family are still struggling to come to terms with their loss and have been hit by further distress.
Last month drug addict Andrew Fancy was jailed for eight months for stealing a teddy bear from a memorial to Levi.
