Scott Vernon's goal wasn't enough to prevent Blackpool slipping to a 3-1 defeat against arch rivals Preston in the Lancashire Senior Cup at Deepdale.
Joe Anyinsah opened the scoring for the home side after just three minutes when Dickson Etuhu sent the ball over the top of the defence.
Anyinsah beat the off-side trap and rounded keeper Lee Jones to walk the ball into the back of the net.
Blackpool hit back on 17 minutes from a Rory Prendergast corner which powered into the six yard box.
Lilywhites keeper Gavin Ward appeared to have caught it but it fell out of his hands to give Vernon an easy tap-in from all of two yards.
But on 55 minutes, North End were back in front after Dave Hibbert coolly blasted home from a tight angle from a neat Tyrone Mears pass.
And on 63 minutes, it was 3-1 when Danny Dichio poked home the rebound after Hibbert's volley had produced a brilliant save.
