THE Zombies are coming alive in Morecambe on November 10 - and promising a fine night of sheer class music.
The Zombies in this case are the classic Sixties combo featuring Colin Blunstone on vocals and Rod Argent on keyboards.
The band first came to prominence when their debut single She's Not There reached number 12 in the UK charts and number two in the US Billboard.
The breathy voice of Blunstone, coupled with Argent's distinctive keyboard style and brilliant songs gave the Zombies an unmistakable style and musical identity until the pair split and moved in different directions - Bluntstone into the world of pop and Argent towards progressive rock.
Over the intervening 30 years both musicians have been successful in their own fields but got back together following the release of a four CD Box set Zombie Heaven in 1999.
Now Colin and Rod are in the middle of a major UK tour and have released a brand new album Out Of The Shadows.
The Zombies play the Platform in Morecambe on Thursday, November 10, at 7.30pm. Ticket details are from the box office on 01524-582803.
