GOALS from Joe Anyinsah, Dave Hibbert and Danny Dichio helped Preston cruise past arch rivals Blackpool in the Lancashire Senior Cup at Deepdale.
Anyinsah opened the scoring after just three minutes when Dickson Etuhu sent the ball over the top of the defence. Anyinsah beat the off-side trap and rounded the keeper to walk the ball into the back of the net.
Blackpool hit back on 17 minutes from a Rory Prendergast corner which powered into the six yard box.
Keeper Gavin Ward appeared to have caught it but it fell out of his hands to give Scott Vernan an easy tap-in from all of two yards.
After failing to be awarded a penalty on the stroke of half time when Eric Skora was clipped in the area, North End stepped up a gear in the second half.
By 55 minutes, North End were back in front after Hibbert cooly blasted home from a tight angle from a neat Tyrone Mears pass.
And on 63 minutes, it was 3-1. Dichio poked home the rebound after Hibbert's volley had produced a brilliant save.
