Blackburn Hawks assistant manager Graham Lomax has praised the performances of his team's youngsters ahead of tomorrow's trip to Peterborough.
After beating Kingston Jets in the English Cup and Billingham Bombers in the ENIHL Northern League last weekend, Lomax commended the attitudes of Hawks young players. He said: "We put out several youngsters for those games, gave them a lot of ice time and it paid off for us.
"They, along with the rest of the team, were a credit to us.
"It was fantastic to beat Billingham, who were top of the league.
"As for the Kingston game, that was another great win.
"The performance was not quite as impressive but we still got the job done. It was also encouraging to see Jakub Hetjmanek on the score-sheet.
"It would be nice to win some silverware this year and there is no reason why we shouldn't be able to win the English Cup."
Hawks turn their focus to the English Premier Cup tomorrow hoping to record their first win in the competition.
