I AGREE with what Mr G Scott (LET, October 25) says about some Blackburn taxi drivers.
I would like to see all taxi drivers thoroughly complete and pass the knowledge. Also, some of them must have a command of the English language. At times when I have travelled in a taxi, some of the insides of the cabs have been dirty with food, crumbs and crisps littering the back seats.
Some taxi drivers have not even bothered to have a shave (I am not talking about beards).
Goodness knows what visitors to the town think when they use taxis like these and it is not fair on the taxi drivers who take pride in their jobs. Tighter laws need to be enforced by the council.
