BLACKBURN boss Mark Hughes is hoping there won't be any fireworks from Charlton striker Darren Bent tomorrow as Rovers look for a third successive home win in the Premiership.
Bent has been on fire so far this season, notching up nine goals in 11 appearances since his summer move from Ipswich.
Hughes said: "Darren has made a real impact since he stepped up and he hasn't found it a problem at this level.
"The thing he's got is pace, which is what you need to succeed at the top level.
"He got up and running very quickly and he's managed to carry that on."
At one point, Bent was linked with a move to Ewood when Hughes was looking for a new striker in the summer but the Welshman swooped for Craig Bellamy instead.
"He was one of those players that was always likely to move on in the summer, but I think his destination was decided fairly early on so we never went in for him," added the Rovers boss.
