Replying to the letter from Andrew Hobbs, How Can We Make Our Roads Safer? (Citizen, October 13).
It's not the roads that are dangerous.
The only thing that's dangerous on the roads is that person sat behind that steering wheel, laughingly described as a driver or motorist, with little intelligence, manners, common sense, or consideration.
These people have never heard of public transport, pavements, or pedestrians (except when they want directions) and believe there is nothing more important on the planet only them and that little tin on wheels.
When these clowns learn to drive for real, park a car, signal which way they are going and how to use a speedometer, then finally we may educate them, and we will all be safe out there.
Sadly I cannot see this happening in my lifetime.
