There's the entire New Orleans musical tradition -- and then there's Mem Shannon. And on November 3, for one night only, the blues legend is playing in Blackpool.
Expect something special as the band has gone through a lot to get here.
The group were among thousands evacuated to safety when Hurricane Katrina hit their home in New Orleans.
They were left without electricity hours away from their homes with patchy communication -- but six days before the gig they confirmed they wouldn't be letting that stop them flying to the UK to perform.
Mem's music has been described as clean and simple. His fans say he transcends genres channelling the spirits that inspired Fats Domino, Prof Longhair, the Funky Meters and The Neville Brothers.
This has all the ingredients of a magic night.
Mem Shannon performs at Grand, Blackpool, on November 3, Tickets are £10.
