Burnley manager Steve Cotterill has hailed his six-week wonders and urged then for one more push at high-flying Luton this weekend before the two-week break.

The Clarets have completely turned their season around in that short space of time, winning five and losing just two of eight league games since dropping to the foot of the Championship table on September 23.

That winning streak has propelled Burnley to the dizzy heights of joint 10th place, where they now lie just two points off the play off places in a tightly congested division.

Tuesday's eventful 2-1 victory over Millwall was the third win in four games to send Cotterill's side to Kenilworth Road in high spirits.

And the Clarets chief inisisted: "This has been a good spell for us. We are joint 10th now and we have worked really hard to get here so all credit to the players because they have worked unbelievably hard to get us where we are.

"I remember being out with the Chairman on a Friday night in late September and we went bottom of the table when Luton drew with Sheffield Wednesday.

"We have come a long way since then in a short space of time, but we have to carry on because it's not over yet and we look forward to Luton on Saturday now."
