A 62-year-old man has been jailed for two years for sexual activity and taking indecent pictures of two young girls.
But the sentence was attacked as "disgusting" and a "joke" by the girls' parents who said it "made a mockery" of the legal system.
Michael Harwood admitted 14 sex charges, two of which involved sexual contact with one of the girls, who both lived in Darwen.
The other counts related to indecent photographs taken of the girls, Preston Crown Court was told.
The court was told that Harwood, of Osbourne Street, Morecambe, had laminated the pictures, which were taken with a digital camera and printed at home.
Judge Andrew Barker branded him nothing more than a "sleazy pornographer."
He said Harwood, who committed the acts last year, would have to "live with what he had done for the rest of his life."
Psychiatric assessments of Harwood showed said he was a medium risk of re-offending, the court was told.
Yet the girls' parents, who cannot be named for legal reasons, blasted the ruling as too lenient.
The mother of one of the girls, who were both under ten at the time of the offences, said: "It is just not good enough. It is a joke.
"We are devastated about what has happened. She knows things now she shouldn't know for years to come. It has taken her childhood away."
Her father said: "It is ridiculous, it is disgusting and makes a mockery of the system.
"The last 12 months have been hell. We noticed a difference in her school work. Rather than happy pictures, they were all gloomy.
"What is going to happen with her when she gets to her teenage years and when she forms relationships?"
The mother of the other girl said: "He should have got a damn sight more than two years.
"It is not justice, he is going to be walking around again soon, out of prison."
The girl's father added: "There is no justice, he deserves more than what he got.
"She is a bit more wary of people, especially men. It will affect the girls right through their lives. They have to carry this."
Harwood was arrested last December after one of the girls told her parents of the abuse.
He then denied assaulting the girl and said the photographs were not indecent.
But in September pleaded guilty to the charges at Lancaster Crown Court.
Robin Kitching, defending, said Harwood wished to apologise to the girls and said: "He is deeply ashamed about what he has done, he is extremely remorseful."
Mr Kitching said Harwood believed the offences were linked to the onset of depression after the death of his wife last September.
His guilty plea meant the girls did not have to go through the "trauma" of giving evidence at a trial, Mr Kitching said.
Harwood was sentenced to three 18-month sentences, to run at the same time, for two charges of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and one of sexual assault.
For 11 counts of taking indecent photographs he was sentenced to six months.
