Burnley manager Steve Cotterill has revealed he is looking to secure on-loan Southampton winger Nathan Dyer on a season-long loan if close friend and Saints manager Harry Redknapp is happy for the teenager to remain at Turf Moor.
17-year-old Dyer inspired Burnley's battling second half fightback, cancelling out Millwall's first minute goal with a stunning equaliser before Wade Elliott came up with a late deflected winner.
"I travelled to watch Nathan at Southampton four or five months ago and that journey has now proved worthwhile," said Cotterill.
"I am very grateful to Harry for letting me have him initially for a short-term loan, but I have said that we would like to keep him here for the season.
"Harry thinks it would be great for the boy and I have a great relationship with him, so hopefully him reading this will save me a telephone call!"
