BLACKBURN Rovers striker Jemal Johnson has joined Preston on a month's loan.

The 21-year-old found first team opportunities limited at Ewood Park after the summer signings of Craig Bellamy and Shefki Kuqi.

He goes staright into the squad for the Championship game against Leicester today.

"I want to get people talking about me and let people know what I can do,"

Johnson said.

"I want to come here and do well and hopefully pave my way for something even better. I'll keep working hard and obviously things will pay off for me. I've got pace, a good touch, I'm skilful and I work hard.

"There's a lot of competition at Blackburn, there's about six strikers, a few of them have gone out on loan but there is still five left.

"Obviously Craig Bellamy and Shefki Kuqi are the newcomers and they have come in in the first team.

"The gaffer said that I am doing well and he thought it would be a good chance to go out and show people what I can do."
