Chorley slumped to a 110 run defeat against Darwen in the Surridge Northern Premier League on Monday.
Chris Lowe, 51, and Keith Semple, who made an undefeated century, put together a match winning partnership of 125 for the second wicket.
Lowe hit four fours in his innings and Semple 10 fours and three sixes.
As Tom Smith was playing for Lancashire 2nd XI, Iain Critchley was the stand-in professional. He and Billy Smith were the pick of the Chorley bowlers, as Critchley finished with two wickets for 72 from his 19 overs and Smith with two for 40 from his 12 overs.
Chorley's reply never really got going as Guarav Dhar and Mark Richardson ground out just 18 from 11 overs before Richardson was snapped up by Gareth Cordingley from Mercer's bowling.
Jack Catterall soon followed for a duck, taken by Clarke from Neil Cordingley's bowling with the score on 19.
Gareth Cordingley and Keith Semple took three more wickets each to reduce Chorley from 54 for three to 85 all out.

The match is due to finish today (Wednesday).
