FIRST Clitheroe, then England -- next stop, the world!
Ribble Valley pool ace Lindsay Lloyd has already won the praises of her new England colleagues and now she is looking for a sponsor that will take her all the way to next year's World Championships.
The 17-year-old 'hot-pot' made her England bow in a Region Two ladies match, winning six of the seven frames she played.
Following her fine debut, Lindsay was called up to play her first competitive match for her country in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
Despite England's 23-19 defeat to the Dragons, Lindsay was on fire, losing just one of her four frames to earn the player-of-the-match trophy.
Proud mum Kim hopes that this is only the start of great things to come for the current "baby" of the England set-up.
"The experience of playing for her country has been fantastic, but Lindsay's aim is to get herself on the England singles tour, because that's where the real competition is" she said.
"Her manager says that getting on the tour will improve her game, as she'll come up against the best people in the country and ultimately, that's where the serious prize money is to be win."
The singles tour, which starts next March, is played over five weekends throughout the year at various venues around the country.
At £250 to enter, with transport and accommodation then on top, Lindsay and her mum are both desperate for someone to come forward and help financially.
"The Pendle Hotel in Chatburn bought her a solid metal cue case a little while ago, but they were unable to offer Lindsay a full sponsorship deal," Kim added.
"It would be ideal if someone local was to get in touch, however we would be happy with a sponsor from anywhere to be absolutely honest."
The former Ribblesdale High School pupil plays for no fewer than four local teams - the Buck Inn and the Whitehorse in the Clitheroe Pool League, the Clitheroe County team and Lancashire Ladies, with whom she won the lady player of the year award in just her first season.
Lindsay also cleared the table at the Clitheroe Pool League awards earlier in the year, pocketing the Ladies League Player of the Year award, as well as being named the outstanding lady player in the Men's Division!
Lindsay's long-term goal is to feature at next year's World Championships and, as the current champion is just 18-years-old, who knows what could happen!
