IN his letter (LET, August 23) Mr Michael Morton, Director of Blackburn Transport stated "Blackburn Transport's job is to serve the people of Blackburn and Darwen."
I for one will be watching that he is true to his word when bus services are re-organised.
Are we going to see a reduction in services or worst still no buses at all on unprofitable routes? (There is one where I live)
Already in my area we don't have any buses on a Sunday until after noon and also the elderly and disabled bus passengers have to carry heavy bags of shopping from Morrisons supermarket to Ainsworth Street when we have a Boulevard which is not being used to its full potential nearby.
I for one, Mr Morton, will be watching this bus re-organisation with interest.
