ROBERT Segal claims Menachem Begin was not a terrorist, as he 'mainly targeted British soldiers'.

May I express my profound respect for the British armed forces and my view that people like Begin and the IRA were, indeed, commit-ting acts of terror when they murdered our soldiers.

May I also note that Begin planned the July 22, 1946, bombing of Jerusalem's King David Hotel, when 28 Britons were among the dead but most of the 91 people killed - targeted to use Mr Segal's terminology - were civilians. So much for 'mainly British soldiers'. Sounds like indiscriminate terrorism to me
