FIVE people have been remanded in custody in connection with a robbery at Heysham post office.
The three men and two women appeared before Lancaster magistrates on Saturday morning after being arrested following the robbery, in which an empty cash box was taken.
William Moore, 23, who gave his address as Kirkham prison, Luke Enwright, 25, of Urmston, and Steven Boyle, 24, of Salford, appeared in the dock in handcuffs.
They spoke only to confirm their names and addresses.
Kelly Wallace, 22, of Salford, and Lisa Berry, 18, also of Salford, who was in tears, also appeared in connection with the robbery.
All five were reman-ded in custody to appear at court again on December 2.
Prosecutor Chrissie Hunt told the court: "There is property outstanding, namely the empty cash box taken in the armed robbery at Heysham."
