MORECAMBE skipper Jim Bentley has growled out a warning to his team-mates ahead of the new season - and he is sure they will take heed.
Bentley is determined to avoid the heartache and heartbreak of last season when the Shrimps missed out on the Conference play-offs after a final day draw at Tamworth.
They had a bad start to the season and Bentley declares: "Last year hurt - and it won't happen again. We have had an excellent pre-season and we are raring to go.
"It is crucial that we get off to a good start because we didn't last year and despite our run at the end we were always playing catch-up.
"What happened at Tamworth is history - and we are determined not to be in that situation again."
