LANCASTER City's spluttering pre-season campaign finished with a 2-2 draw against Witton Albion at Giant Axe.
The Dolly Blues were the better side in a bright opening spell on a red-hot day.
And they went 2-0 in front of their UniBond Premier Division rivals thanks to goals from Steve Jones and a spectacular effort from Nick Rogan.
But towards the break Witton got into the game as Andy Syder made it 2-1 with a smart lob - and after the break Albion dominated for spells.
In fact, Lancaster keeper Anthony McMillan saved a David Byrne penalty before Andy Syder nipped in to make it 2-2.
The remainder of the game saw few chances - but at least City boss Phil Wilson and his players can look forward to the season proper and Saturday's trip to Hinckley United.
Lancaster City: McMillan, Uberschar, Scott, Elderton, Swan, McMahon, Dawes, Rogan, Jones, Taylor, Black. Subs: Sullivan, Yeomans, Mahoney, Eckersley
