I'M almost 80 years old and have lived in many places, mainly between Bristol and Penzance, Southport and Bury.
I find Blackburn the dullest town I have ever lived in. The only shop I can think of that will attract shoppers to the town is Lakeland Ltd.
Even a poor county like Cornwall can support a Lakeland in Truro. It would attract people from all over Lancashire.
I have given up driving now but I still prefer to shop in Bury or Bolton.
JOAN THORPE (Mrs), Carnarvon Road, Blackburn.
