REGARDING the bridge at the Hacking boat crossing in the Ribble Valley, the funding for which has been withdrawn.
Why on earth did it have to be such a complicated triple span effort?
If the Mitton Bank side of the bridge had been omitted and just the old ferry route between the Ribble banks used I would think costings would have been reasonable.
Why not bring back the ferry? Oops, sorry, with health and safety rules there would have to be a lifeboat on standby too!
