LOWERHOUSE skipper Joe Beneduce says his side's win against Ramsbottom on Sunday has thrown the Lancashire League title race wide open.
But Beneduce says the victory over the leaders will be wasted if they don't beat bottom side Accrington on Saturday.
House stunned the leaders by routing them for just 75 after a stunning 7-36 by Jonny Russell and pro Andrew McDonald made 39 as Lowerhouse coasted home to a surprisingly comfortable victory.
But Beneduce is taking nothing for granted as the season begins to wind up to an exciting finale.
He said: "The title is going right to the end of the season and I can't see any team running away with it.
"It was a massive result for us and it's blown the title race wide open. I still think Colne and Nelson are in with a shout because they aren't far behind us.
"But if we don't beat Accrington at the weekend the win over Ramsbottom will be wasted.
"Accrington have beaten Nelson and Haslingden over the last couple of weeks and they've shown they're a good side.
"Nelson and Haslingden are both top sides and it just shows that you can't afford to have an off day.
"Tama Canning (Accrington's pro) can win the game on his own so we have to approach the game in the same way we did against Ramsbottom."
But Beneduce praised his team for their masterful performance over Ramsbottom and said they're ready for the run in.
He added: "We had a game plan.
"We wanted to bowl first and try and get them out for a relatively small score and them we knew what we had to do against (Murali) Kartik.
"In the end we could have blocked him out for 25 overs because we didn't think we'd knock them over for 75. It was a great performance.
"All it needs is for us and Ramsbottom to lose a couple of games or lose just one and fail to pick up all the bonus points we can and they'll be right in it.
"Ramsbottom struggled when Kartik was away and they have lost a couple of times when he's been there so they're far from untouchable.
"We know they're a strong side and anybody can beat anybody on their day so we know we have to approach each game in the right manner."
"We're in with a great shout and we have to make sure we aim to get maximum points from every game we play.
"We have to make sure we play well against Accrington at the weekend or the Ramsbottom win will count for nothing."
