Motorcyclists and motorists are being urged to drive with caution after a number of serious road accidents.
It comes after Paul Ronald Heaton, 26, of The Paddock, Fulwood, died following an accident on July 24.
Mr Heaton, riding a Cagiva Raptor 125cc, was overtaking a line of vehicles in Weavers Brow, Heath Charnock, near Chorley, when he collided head-on with a Ford Mondeo being driven in the opposite direction at about 2pm.
Police said he was negotiating a bend and appeared to have lost control of the motorbike, causing him to veer on to the offside of the road, He died later in Chorley Hospital.
Since the beginning of the year 15 people have died on Lancashire's roads as a result of motorcycle accidents.
On July, 10, David Harrison, 21, of Bowland Road, Ribbleton died after his Honda 90cc was dragged under a car in Glenview Close.
The following week on Monday July 18, a biker suffered leg injuries after an accident in Garstang Road, Preston.
In another case in May Andrew Godwin, 42, landlord of the Fox and Grapes, Fox Street Preston, died after an accident involving a motorbike on Penwortham Way.
Chief Inspector, Tracie O'Gara, of Lancashire Constabulary's Road Policing Unit, is keen that no more tragic incidents take place this summer.
"We have had some very mild weather recently, which can be a factor, and we are due a long hot summer.
"Motorcycling can be fun, bikers enjoy the freedom it provides, but the message we want to get across is just that they need to be safe."
Tony Clarke, chairman of Preston and District Motorcycle Club, added: "It is so sad when youngsters die on bikes, I just feel so sorry for their families."
