LANCASTER'S recycling forum has published its second directory online.
The 55-page booklet was put into print last month but from this week is available at the click of a mouse on the city council's website.
It gives A to Z listings of where to recycle every-thing from batteries to wallpaper and toiletries to topsoil and has links to the websites of groups and organisations willing to accept items for recycling, refurbishment or re-use, often in unusual ways.
One local allotment association wants old CDs to use as bird-scarers, for example.
The new directory for the Lancaster District can be found at www.lancaster.gov.uk/recyclingdirectory or www.recyclelancaster.org.uk.
