I see from your newspaper (July 21) that Preston City Council's maintenance department have just won a gold award at Tatton Park for their work in the flower bed competition.
Months of work and 4,000 plants, according to your article.
Yet this same department informed me that they haven't the finances to tidy up or landscape the area in Ingleton Road where the council flats were demolished.
The grass is now shoulder high and it has become a general dumping place.
Where do their priorities lie?
Mrs Joan Hardwick,
Ingleton Road,
Ribbleton,
Preston.
