I REFER to your article (July 7) about the council employees going to London to receive an award. I find your article extremely one-dimensional and one sided.
We, as a company employing more than 100 people, have worked with the Workforce Development Service over the past two years and they have given us a thoroughly effective and professional service.
Our employees have benefited from first aid, health and safety, team building and customer service workshops.
Most recently, many of our staff have gained a lot of confidence and recognition through undertaking the National Literacy and Numeracy tests.
I feel that you would help the borough more if you would write about some of the success stories that have resulted from the work undertaken by the Workforce Development Service
This would act as a positive model for many businesses in the borough and result in a real impact for employers and employees.
