I FULLY sympathise with Mr Paul Walsh (Letters, July 9) and the response he received from the parking services manager regarding the failure to display the parking ticket.
Pity he had not parked his car in Southport, as he would have received a more helpful response.
Exactly the same happened to me there, but when I returned the ticket and explained the circumstances, they cancelled the fine.
What is good for one council should be good for all others.
If Blackburn with Darwen Council insists that the ticket should be displayed, then it should issue a ticket with a removable sticky back so that it can be firmly stuck on the windscreen.
But then, how much revenue could they lose?
