MORECAMBE promenade will be jam-packed with people swaying, shimmying and shaking this weekend - when the world's sexiest dance craze comes to the seaside.
The Promenade Salsa Party will see the resort filled with J-Lo wannabes willing to flash a bit of thigh.
The steamy moves kick off with an open air salsa party on the promenade close to the Eric Morecambe statue from noon on Sunday, when dancers of all ages will be welcom.
And the first annual Morecambe Salsa Dance Competition will follow from 7pm in the King's Arms Hotel.
Event organiser Anthony Padgett, who holds weekly salsa classes in the town, says: "This is a beauty contest about how you dance and not just how you look.
"But this contest will be unique because it will take a more communal approach to judging. Instead of a panel of aloof experts the people at the event will judge by ballot."
