Dinosaurs are on the prowl at Blackpool Zoo after the wraps came off the attraction' biggest ever investment.
More than 30 different dinosaurs, a giant erupting volcano and even a smouldering meteorite form the centrepiece of Dinosaur Safari, which also provides a new home from two giant tortoises and a family of tree shrews - believed to be one of the few mammal species alive today which was around when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
"The Safari is not only a thrilling adventure, it's also a fun learning experience for people of all ages with innovative and informative levels of interpretation," said zoo spokesman, Della Belk.
"The safari takes visitors through the four main dinosaur eras; The Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous and ends with their mass extinction."
