IT'S about time work on the Western link road got cracking. How much longer do we have to cope with the congestion which just gets worse and worse.
Less talk and more action is what we need.
I have seen displays and exhibitions of 'new road plans' from the county council being thrown open to the public for discussion over many years.
So surely this road should have been in place by now, as I have stated to representatives from county with no effect. It's time now to take action, especially with the nuclear power stations at Heysham and terrorism at our door.
Trying to get to the Lancaster Infirmary is very troublesome to many people trying to get to appointments on time ornd visiting friends and family in hospital.
Another reason is the planned expansion of the docks at Heysham and the extra numbers of heavy goods vehicles which will be coming from all over the country 24 hours a day - mainly from the South.
