STAR men John Wilshere and Oli Wilkes are on the wish list of a host of Leigh Centurions Super League rivals.
Fellow relegation contenders, Widnes Vikings, have asked for permission to speak to full-back-cum-stand-off Wilshere. Two other clubs have also declared their interest in signing Leigh's Papua New Guinea international.
Four Super League clubs, and next season's newcomers Les Catalans, fancy second rower Wilkes and have asked the Centurions if they can open talks.
"There's nothing underhand going on," said Centurions coach Darren Abram. "All the clubs involved have gone down the right channels and approached us in the right way."
Wilshere, signed in the off season from Warrington, has been a revelation but he has a contract clause that would allow him to stay in Super League should Leigh be relegated back to National League One.
Wilkes, just back in action after shoulder surgery, will also be off contract at the end of the current campaign. The Keighley-based Cumbrian has previous top flight experience with Huddersfield.
Young half-back or hooker Mike Govin is also thought to have attracted the attention of a couple of Super League sides and centre Danny Halliwell could also be another target should Leigh make the drop.
