A CRASH involving a tractor and a car brought traffic to a halt on the A580 East Lancashire Road at Leigh.
The 87-year-old tractor driver was thrown from the vehicle after it was in collision with a Fiat Punto at th Greyhound roundabout at 3.30pm on Monday. The road was closed for almost three hours.
Both the driver of the tractor and the car driver, a woman from Ashton-in-Makerfield, were taken to Salfords Hope Hospital.
The tractor driver was treated for neck and back injuries.
The woman was treated for minor cuts and bruises.
