COLIN Hendry swapped boots for bagpipes to score a Christmas hit for a worthy cause.
The Rovers and Scotland star was persuaded to take on the Tartan and give the pipes an airing to raise cash for the appeal in aid of terminally-ill Blackburn youngster Amy Allen.
Amy suffers from the extremely rare brain disorder Batten's Disease and Colin's efforts boosted the fund to raise cash for specialist equipment and, hopefully, for her parents Debbie and Stephen to take her to Lourdes next summer.
An account for the appeal fund has been opened at Barclays Bank, Darwen Street, Blackburn.
