PLANS by Leigh-based Redrow Homes to build on part of the former Newchurch Hospital site in Culcheth have been approved.
Warrington Council's Planning Committee gave the green light for the proposed conversion of four hospital buildings into one detached and six semi-detached dwellings with seven detached garages.
The application was approved subject to trees on the site being retained and reclaimed brick being used to match surrounding buildings.
The committee also approved a proposed change of house type on a plot in Petersfield Gardens, Twiss Green Lane, Culcheth, a proposed extension to the garage and store and conservatory to the rear of 21 Birchall Avenue, Culcheth, and the installing of a 'Welcome to Culcheth Village' illuminated sign at the junction of Warrington Road and Common Lane.
