GREEN volunteers in East Lancashire will take time off from the festive telly to recycle Christmas waste.
Shadsworth Playgroup Conservation Team, Blackburn, have launched a project to recycle everything from cans to Christmas cards, stamps, paper and even Christmas trees.
The project is one of many taking place up and down the country for the Action campaign which encourages people to have a green Christmas.
From January 3 -19 volunteers can take waste to Shadsworth Neighbourhood Centre in Rothesay Road.
Volunteers are needed to collect materials for recycling and sort the waste into different types.
Further information at the neighbourhood centre any time between 9am and 10pm from January 3.
