Bamber Bridge 0 Leek 0
LEEK should have won this encounter at Irongate ... and Bridge lucky to get a single point.
In the early stages attacking moves came from Leek and with only 15 minutes gone, Diskin headed over from close range.
Bridge keeper, Steve Berryman, was brought into action when Wheaten produced a superb header, followed minutes later by a shot from Sutton which curled inches wide.
In another frantic few minutes Baldwin headed close for Bridge, and Brown was sent off.
Just before the hour Leek were awarded a penalty, but fortunately for Bridge Wheaten blasted the ball wide.
Bamber Bridge remain at the top with a six-point lead over Hyde United.
This Saturday, January 27, Bridge make another long journey to the North East to take on Bishop Auckland - this time with national interest - they're no 46 on the pools coupon!
